Dude’s Story

Dude’s journey began in 2011 when he was found as a four-month-old puppy in a parking lot. From that moment on, his life was filled with love, adventure, and so many friendships—both human and animal. In his new life, Dude is spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa, enjoys countless cozy beds, and is never short on treats.

From his humble beginnings, Dude has grown into a seasoned traveler, has visited 30 states (so far), oceans and lakes, has hiked mountains and trails, camped under the stars, and even stayed in shipping containers/ tiny houses. He’s taken naps in truck beds after long adventures and tagged along with his Mom — sometimes even to where she works!

Dude loves adventures - discovering new places and learning about the world, and he’s always excited to share his stories and experiences with his friends back home!

About Dude’s Mom

Cheryl was born and raised in Ohio but has always had a heart for adventure— and she prefers “adventures” over “vacations” any day! A lifelong animal lover, she has had all kinds of pets, from goldfish and hamsters to hermit crabs and turtles. But Dude, her first dog, holds a special place in her heart.

When Cheryl isn’t traveling to new places with Dude, she’s helping other rescue dogs find loving homes. As a dedicated foster mom, she provides care and comfort to pups who need a fresh start, proving that every dog deserves a happy life—just like Dude!

With a suitcase full of treats and a spirit of curiosity, Cheryl ensures that Dude’s adventures never end. After all, his dreams are her dreams, and together, they’re making memories to last forever!
